Women's Healthcare of Dothan, P.C. is pleased to announce our recent acquisition of the new GE Volusion 730 which is capable of real time 3D/4D ultrasound images. We are very excited about this system and are pleased that our patients will have the opportunity to experience this advanced technology. The GE 730 captures images of your baby that appear much like real photos.
We are the first practice in South Alabama to offer the 3D/4D technology.
The 3D/4D ultrasound exam is limited by the amount of fluid around the baby's face and the baby's position. These exams are done at 26-32 weeks to try to optimize the fluid and space of the baby's environment.
We believe that this will be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your baby. We will provide you with pictures, a CD and a videotape. The fee of $192.00 is charged to you to cover the sonographer's time and the cost of supplies and equipment. Please note that this particular evaluation is not considered medically necessary. As a result, this service is non-billable to insurance and payment is due at the time of service.
